In excess of a pearl,

Chasms grant solace

To tongues

October moonlight squared

An odd siren casts

Her blue-green glare

At an owl’s patience,

The lighthouse reveals

Its entrance to the willed

And to the wilted

The lily-eater beats

Her breast in witness to

The eyeless earless lipless

Advising her to devour her beacon

In reflections of pearls,

Opulence spreads its legs

Over the dough of white mirage

Something silently lost in flag-bearing teeth,

The drum’s taught leather hide

Spoke to a wind a promise made,

Brilliance is an opal’s fool.
